The Friends of Muskoka Pioneer Village

The group called the Friends of Muskoka Pioneer Village was created in 1970 to give some life to the Rotary Club collection of buildings on Brunel Road in Huntsville. The Friends formed committees to catalogue donations, to welcome visitors to the site and to raise money needed to keep the buildings in good repair by instituting the first Market Day craft fair in the area. Eventually, the Friends' store was established which continues to raise necessary funds to this day.

The Friends continue to provide resources for Muskoka Heritage Place. If you have an interest in preserving Muskoka's history, please submit the Volunteer Interest Form. You may decide to help at special events, interpretation, the store or with the collection. In any area, you are certain to have an enjoyable learning experience.
