At the turn of the century steamboats plied the lakes immediately around Huntsville and the large neighbouring Lake of Bays. The steamboats were responsible for transporting freight and passengers to the bustling town of Huntsville, and local resorts.

  • Tuesdays, Wednesdays,Thursdays, Fridays: One diesel-electric 1948 narrow gauge engine pulling authentic open-air coaches one run daily at 12:00 noon
  • Saturdays: Four diesel-electric runs daily at 12:00 noon, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm
  • Sundays & Mondays: Muskoka Museum and Pioneer Village open with lots of hands-on activities, but no train ride these two days.

July 1 to September 5, 2009*

  • Tuesdays thru Saturdays : Four runs steam engine* , authentic open-air coaches
    12:00 noon, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm
  • Sundays & Mondays: Muskoka Museum and Pioneer Village open with lots of hands-on activities, but no train ride these two days.

September 8 to October 10, 2009
